Walking the Talk: Supporting Confidence Inside and Out with Young Jewels Foundation
On Friday, October 10th, we had the privilege of joining hands with the Young Jewels Foundation (YJF) for the DUAL Campaign Walk, an initiative dedicated to spotlighting menstrual and mental health awareness.
At Shop Zetu, we often say fashion builds confidence, but what about the confidence within?
Because true confidence isn’t just about what you wear, it’s about how you feel, how you show up for yourself, and how supported you are.
About Young Jewels Foundation

Since 2011, Young Jewels Foundation has been sparking dreams through mentorship, advocacy, and research. Founded by Dinah Muthuka, the organization believes that education is one of the most powerful tools to combat poverty, empower youth, and protect children.
Through their programs, they have reached thousands of learners aged 10–14 years across rural Kenya, ensuring that girls have access to menstrual products and education, while both boys and girls benefit from mentorship and life skills that help them stay in school and make better decisions for their future.
From starting with a single school to now partnering with 11 schools nationwide, Young Jewels has become a true champion for menstrual hygiene management and youth empowerment.
Why We Walked

Menstrual and mental health conversations are often whispered, yet they deeply influence how we live, learn, and lead. This walk was more than just a physical activity; it was a statement of empathy, inclusion, and shared humanity.
By standing beside the Young Jewels Foundation, we reaffirmed our belief that fashion and confidence go hand in hand, both the outer expression and the inner strength.
A Gesture That Says “You Matter”

As proud partners, we shared Shop Zetu gift cards with all participants, a small yet heartfelt gesture to remind every attendee that they are seen, valued, and celebrated.
This collaboration reflects what we stand for: empowering people to feel confident, supported, and beautiful, inside and out.
Together with Young Jewels, we’re inspired to keep walking the talk, one step, one smile, and one story at a time.
